Balkan Information Exchange This a web site sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense in support of United Nations Resolution 1244. It is designed to provide an international audience with a portal to a broad range of information on the Balkan region. Accordingly, the site is provided in five languages: two official languages of the United Nations (English and Russian) and three additional regional languages (Albanian, Greek, and Serbian).
